ARD — 01
BtRover
A Bluetooth-controlled two-wheel-drive vehicle operated via a mobile app. Features real-time obstacle detection using ultrasonic sensors — the vehicle automatically halts when an obstacle is detected within a set range. Fully designed from scratch including the vehicle chassis, circuit layout, and firmware.
ARD — 02
RoboArm
A pre-assembled 6-axis robotic arm with joystick-based manual control. Each axis is independently driven and mapped to joystick inputs, enabling precise positional control. Currently a work-in-progress — planned extensions include programmable position memory and automated sequences.
ARD — 03
SmokeDetector
A standalone smoke and heat detection unit that triggers an audible buzzer alarm when smoke concentration crosses a configurable threshold. The enclosure was custom-designed and 3D printed to house all electronics neatly. Includes both MQ-2 smoke sensing and temperature monitoring for dual-layer detection.
ARD — 04
DinoGameHack
An electromechanical hack of Chrome's offline Dino game. A photoresistor detects the approaching cactus from the screen, triggering a servo motor to physically press the spacebar at the right moment — achieving automated gameplay without any software intervention. A fun intersection of hardware and gaming.
ARD — 05
Automatic Curtain Opener
A full-sized motorised curtain system that opens vertically to reveal a television — operated via IR remote. Built around a stepper motor driving a custom pulley mechanism designed and 3D printed from scratch. The entire mechanical assembly, motor mount, and embedded control logic were designed and built in-house.
ARD — 06
Piezoelectric Energy Panel
A large panel of piezoelectric discs that harvests mechanical energy from footsteps or pressure. The system generates up to 500 mV and displays live step count and voltage readings on an LCD screen — demonstrating energy harvesting principles at a tangible scale. Circuit and firmware designed from scratch.

MECH — 01
Gearbox
A fully functional gearbox designed in FreeCAD and 3D printed to physically test gear tooth ratios and the trade-off between torque and rotational speed. Different gear configurations were modelled and swapped in to study mechanical advantage — a hands-on exploration of gear theory beyond textbook formulas.

Investment Portfolio Analyser
A Python-based investment analytics tool that connects to live financial APIs to fetch real-time asset prices, stores portfolio data in a MySQL database, and calculates the net current worth of all holdings. Outputs a detailed visual analysis with line graphs tracking portfolio performance over time and pie charts showing allocation breakdown.
